Separation of Iron from Biomass

Overband magnetic separator for ATEX 21/22 environments with risk of dust explosion. Suitable for removing ferrous particles from a stream of recycled materials and during bulk transport of loose materials or biomass such as wood, communal waste or alternate solid recovered fuels (energy production).

The overband magnetic separator suitable for ATEX 21/22 environments with a risk of dust explosion will find successful use when removing ferrous particles from a stream of recycled materials and during bulk transport of loose materials or biomass such as wood, communal waste or alternate solid recovered fuels – materials which are ever more frequently used for energy production.

The conveyor belt around the magnet is made of an extra rigid material that is resistant to wear and tear. It will reliably serve for a long time, collecting and conveying separated particles. The auxiliary pole draws magnetic particles away from the main magnetic field. The electrical parts, connections and cabling meet ATEX requirements for safe operation in dusty environments.

Bearings are also well protected and the magnetic system is fully encased for safe operation. The machine can be expanded by an active cooling system with heat exchanger and pump to ensure optimal cooling of the magnet.
