New blue on recycling and separation products

We are introducing a new blue colour across our recycling and separation product range, creating a unified and more distinctive appearance for the magnetic separators of the Goudsmit Magnetics Group. Customers were introduced to this new visual identity for the first time at this year's international IFAT trade fair.

In April, we once again attended the RECYCLING conference in Brno, which focuses on the processing and reuse of construction and demolition waste. Our colleagues Kamila and Petr from the sales department used a sample of our N0 mini suspended magnetic separator to demonstrate magnetic separation solutions.

Magnetic handling on Blechexpo 2025

It is one thing to obtain ISO certification, it is another to maintain and improve quality for the next period. In June, WAMAG conducted a certification audit of the quality management system according to ČSN EN ISO 9001:2015. We passed the audit successfully again and the certification was extended for another 3 years.
Metal separation in dusty operation of wood recycling

For dusty operation of wood recycling plant we designed and produced this dusty-tight overbelt permanent magnetic separator fitted with ATEX sensors. It is fully covered to protect against a lot of wood dust.

Extension of production quality certification acc. to ATEX 2014/34/EU

We have successfully passed the audit to extend the validity of the certificate of the production quality system according to the ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU. We can therefore continue to solute magnetic metal separation applications in dust explosion hazardous environments and design and manufacture magnetic separators for these challenging environments.
Ultra powerful overband permanent magnetic separator protects the crusher

Our ultra powerful overband permanent magnetic separator is shipped to the customer. It is intended for protection of the crusher against destruction by unwanted metal parts. It will be installed above 1 600 mm wide conveyor belt with a material flow of approximately 300 mm layer height. It is our flagship of overband permanent magnetic separators.

We supported this year's Waste to Energy conference as a partner. We followed up on last year's presentation of our solution for separating valuable non-ferrous metals such as aluminium or copper in slag after incineration of municipal waste, which does not have to end up in landfill. We have a solution and the customer then economically recovers his waste and lightens the burden on nature.

We designed and delivered a new version of the permanent high intensity belt separator (PVPS) to a customer in the food industry. Its special feature is the certification of the belt for food contact and at the same time the modification of the whole machine for use in explosive environments.

We painted production halls

We used the warm summer days to paint the production halls. The clean white walls and ceilings brightened up the large spaces and improved visibility and thus work safety. They also brought a more pleasant feeling during the demanding physical work of our colleagues in the welding shop and the final assembly of our magnetic separators.

In Mníšek, we were the best packaging waste sorters

Mníšek pod Brdy has the best system of collecting and sorting packaging waste in the Czech Republic. It was the winner of the 19th annual competition for the "Crystal dustbin". We are glad that we also contributed. We sort at WAMAG and in the homes of employees who live in Mníšek pod Brdy. Subsequently our magnetic separators help with the metal recovery and recycling on the sorting lines.

Last week, the 13th International Demonstration Trade Fair for Mining, Processing, and Construction Equipment took place in the authentic environment of the quarry - Expo Lesní lom 2023. Our colleagues Petr and Jan visited the fair, and we were pleased to find that our overbelt permanent magnetic separator was possible to see on the mobile crusher.
The Primary School students excursion

We continue in the tradition of excursions for students. On Thursday, 26th May, we welcomed the first group of 9th grade students from the Primary School in Mníšek pod Brdy. It is important for us to let the young generation know that there is an engineering company in their area that helps customers from different parts of the world to solve varied problems with metal separation by using magnetism. We believe to encourage the students' interest in technical branches and working in engineering sector.

Recycling 2022 Trade Fair

Our partner Goudsmit Magnetics will participate in the national Recycling exhibition in Gorinchem (NL) from 15 to 17 November. The exhibition is focused on recycling technologies. The main focus of stand F120 will be a new range of neodymium overband separators suitable for mobile crushing units. The development of the new range was carried out at WAMAG, where we are responsible for the development and production of overband magnetic separators for the entire international Goudsmit Magnetics group.

Investment in Modernization of Production Technology

Another high-performance CNC lathe has been added to our machine park. The significant investment in the modernization of production technology will make production more efficient, shorten the time and increase the seriality. It also benefits the further refinement of turned parts, whose precise design contributes to the high quality of our magnetic separators. The work of the machine shop staff is also more comfortable.

The shortage of natural materials in the construction industry can be addressed to some extent by consistent recycling of inert construction and demolition waste. Magnetic conveyors for inter-operational transport

Three new magnetic conveyors will help with the inter-operational transport of metal scraps from punch presses. We have designed and manufactured these new custom-made conveyors to replace the current ones, which no longer fulfilled the technical requirements. The length of two straight conveyors is almost 9 meters. The third magnetic conveyor, type "SWAN NECK", has a transport length of 4,7 meters. The capacity of the conveyors is 60 kg/min. Educational modules in WAMAG - 2021

At the end of last year we were granted a subsidy for education. It includes two modules. The first one is for our design engineers who focus on advanced features of Vault and Inventor systems. The second module is intended for other administrative workers and will be used for engineering technologies and technical documentation in mechanical engineering.

Permanent overbelt separators for ATEX zone 21.

We have extended the possibilities of use of permanent overbelt separators and we have certified them in accordance with the European directive ATEX 2014/34/EU. We are able to manufacture the separators also in ATEX version for the use in a potentially explosive atmosphere with dust - ATEX zone 21.
