Recycling of End-of-Life Vehicles - Separation of Metals
Efficient separation of magnetic and non-magnetic metals in a modern end-of-life vehicle recycling line.
We designed, manufactured, and delivered magnetic separators to enable the efficient separation of ferrous and non-ferrous metals and other materials for a modern auto scrap recycling line.
The process, which you can see in the video on the left, begins with a suspended permanent magnet separator that reliably separates larger ferromagnetic pieces. Next, a magnetic drum precisely removes the remaining magnetic metals from the mixture.
The next step is the separation of non-ferrous metals, particularly aluminum and copper, using an eddy current separator—a method that separates non-magnetic metals based on the principle of eddy currents. The final stage is handled by a powerful neodymium magnetic drum, which effectively captures even small pieces of stainless steel that cannot be captured by conventional magnetic separators.
The result is maximum material recovery and highly efficient separation using magnetic separators from Goudsmit Magnetics group.
Reusing metals helps conserve the environment, water, and primary raw material resources.
